I have heard that if someone looses one of their senses the remaining senses are heightened. Well I am getting a chance to experience what that is like. Can you imagine how incredible it is to live with someone who hears the softest sounds or sounds that are so far away they can be faintly heard?
Sometimes it is the slightest sound in a piece of music or even a voice in the distance.
He is able to smell the cookies I try to hide. He knows that it is going to rain by the smell in the air.
Watching him discover this gift is a small beauty I am thankful for this day.
What a wonderful way to explore the world.
