The Park

I kept my distance while he  played at the park this evening.. Husband and I stayed close enough to be available but far enough away to allow room for his independence. It did my heart good to see him laughing,  running, climbing and playing with the other children. He was so excited that he hardly cared when he tripped or fell or wasn't able to keep up. He just brushed it off and kept on going. I almost started to cheer him on. He played good and he played hard.

When it was time to go, he didn't want to leave, I must  admit, there was a part of me that didn't either.
